The Vintage Avante Black Special is a reissue of Tamiya's first competition car, released in 1988. This is a vintage electric buggy in 4WD 4WD, without electronics, in kit to assemble and limited edition.
The machine is equipped with a unique shaft-driven 4WD system that was taken from Tamiya's first R/C 4WD buggy, the Hotshot. It features a highly sophisticated design including a two-stage FRP chassis layout, longitudinal motor and battery positions, and a formula-type body with chassis fairing. It is equipped with innovative components such as a compact gearbox with 3 small planetary gears, a center differential to increase stability, and a fully adjustable suspension.
The car's modern specification has a few updates, such as universal driveshafts and machined aluminum uprights, giving this version increased durability and performance over the original.
