Truck Scania 770S 6x4 Kit 1/14 Tamiya 56368

This R/C model assembly kit recreates the Scania 770 S 6x4, a double-axle rear axle transmission axle equipped with a 16.4-liter V8 turbo diesel engine capable of 770 hp added in 2020 to the top-of-the-line S series of Swedish manufacturer Scania - which had undergone a complete model change in 2016, its first in 21 years. The model has a very realistic cabin, with parts included to represent customizations such as a roof bar with light modules, grille bar, low bar and side bars, as well as metal transfers to capture the V8 and 770 S emblems. The interior also receives the detailed Tamiya treatment, with representations of the modern dashboard design and even V8 embossing on the seats. Its ladder frame features aluminum side channels with resin cross-members, and power from the front-mounted engine is transmitted to two rear axles via a 3-speed transmission and propeller shaft. An integrated differential gear on each axle allows for smooth turning. The very realistic suspension uses metal leaf springs and friction shock absorbers, and the model benefits from an easy ride thanks to the float-mounted die-cast front axles and reinforced resin rear axles.

★ The light bar on the roof has five modules, which can be illuminated to great effect thanks to the addition of LEDs sold separately.
★ The matte-finished metal-plated pieces representing the non-slip steps add yet another layer of detail to this fascinating model.
★ The model's three-speed transmission allows for shifting gears while the model is in motion, for a truly immersive experience.
★ The axles are molded from reinforced plastic and supported by metal leaf springs, in a trunnion suspension like the one seen on the real truck.
★ Double-tyre rear wheels are used to drive the model. They receive an eye-catching chrome finish.
★ A coupler is installed at the back of the head to allow connection with one of the trailers in Tamiya's wide range.
★ The side skirts also feature recreations of the recessed steps. If desired, LEDs can also be installed in the position lights.
★ The rear combined lights and wings are depicted realistically. The different lights can be illuminated by LEDs sold separately.
★ A sticker is also included to represent the classic Scania-Vabis logo from the 1950s and 1960s, if you feel like it!
★ Headlight and fog light reflectors (as on the full-size truck) help illuminate your model in an authentic way.
