The Ugears engineering team has developed a special and classic car model that will take you back to that era. Outstanding features include: a retractable roof with fabric lining, convertible doors that close and open forward, a hood that opens on either side to reveal a functional 4-cylinder engine with a crank, a skeuomorphic pendulum that simulates the sound of a rumbling engine, front wheels that turn using the steering wheel, and a spare wheel at the rear. To operate the UGR-T Retro Car, set the "On/Off" button to "Off" when you wind the spring engine using the pawl under the chassis. Place the model on a flat surface while holding it with one hand, press "On" before releasing and watch it start. The car is equipped with "Forward", "Neutral" and "Reverse" modes.

Did you know that the era of mass-produced cars also heralded the era of mass car theft? Without the ability to lock open cockpits, with transmissions that were easily tampered with, and without individual markings or easily identifiable serial numbers, mass-produced cars were an attractive target for thieves. In addition, cars offered criminals an easy way to transport stolen goods or escape quickly after a bank robbery. During Prohibition in the United States (1920-33), many cars were equipped with a fake chassis to hide contraband alcohol! In fact, the rise and development of the FBI followed the rise and evolution of mass-produced automobiles.

The wooden model of Retro Car UGR-T consists of 337 parts, is classified at the "advanced" level and promises more than 7 hours of assembly pleasure. No glue or tools are needed to assemble this attractive wooden model to assemble yourself, because everything you need is in the box. The parts are carefully laser pre-cut in plywood boards, from where they are easily detached and connected to each other. Detailed and illustrated instructions in 11 languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian) will guide your assembly for a successful construction. If you break a part during construction, let us know and we will be happy to provide you with a spare part free of charge.

The first hand-built cars were different colors (but black paint dried faster)! You can choose to leave your UGR-T Retro Car in its beautiful natural wood condition, paint or dye it in your own original color palette, or paint it black.
