The A-Stand Hot Metal range was formulated to simulate the iridescent tones of burnt metal created by the high temperatures generated by aircraft jet engines. They can also be very useful for simulating this effect on exhaust pipes or any other metal element affected by heat and exhaust gases. Keep in mind that if you apply a larger amount of product, the effect will be more intense.
Why use A-Stand?
The excellent fluidity of A-Stand products makes them easy to spray without clogging the airbrush. They also offer a tough and durable finish once dry, allowing the application of any other lacquer, anti-enamel product or acrylic paint on top without a problem. In addition, modelling tape can be applied to the hard finish of A-Stand paints without any problems.
A-Stand products dry to the touch in a short time of about 30 minutes, depending on the amount of paint applied, ambient humidity and temperature. Allow 1 hour of drying time before applying the other products safely, they will cure completely in 24 hours. The thinners used in these paints and varnishes, as in other lacquer products, are only suitable for airbrush use and not for brush painting.
Keep in mind that all lacquered paints contain toxic components and it is advisable to use a mask for its application and spray these products in a well-ventilated area.
The A-Stand paint series includes various product lines used to apply a range of effects and finishes to your models.
Always clean and dilute with the airbrush thinner and cleaner A-Stand A.MIG-2013.
