The mechanism of this clock is based on a design sketched by Leonardo da Vinci. The clock uses the weight of the pendulum as a source of energy. The power depends on the design of the rotating pendulum horizontally. The clock speed is controlled by the weight and balance of the pendulum movement. Functional clock can be mounted hanging on a wall or on the base as shown in the picture. Leonardo da Vinci was an artist and an Italian scientist, born during the Renaissance and appreciated as the most brilliant inventor and 'industrial' designer of his time. His work was a precursor of many aspect of technology and modern science.
