Product Details

The first large modern models of the "80 generation" it was in the autumn of 1977 that the F12 tractors were launched for the traction of semi-trailers, replacing the F89s that appeared in 1970. These models with an entirely new advanced cab benefited from the research that had led to the launch of the N models in 1973. This was especially true of the special high-strength steel chassis, and the elements of the kinematic chain, also improved and reinforced. The serial use of aluminium tanks and leaf springs with a parabolic profile resulted from the need to reduce the weight of the tractor as much as possible in order to increase the market load. On board the F12 the driver's working conditions became excellent, which is essential over the considerable distances of international transport.
