remark: The term HSS tool for this group comes from the drilling equipment used. High-speed steel (high-speed steel = HSS) is a high-alloy steel, which is wear-resistant and up to about 600°C resistant to deformation by its manufacturing process. It is advisable to use a cutting oil or cooling emulsion during the machining of steel. White spirit or petrol is used during aluminum machining. Plastic and wood can be worked generally dry.
