Mercedes-Benz trucks of the SK series, whose acronym stands for "Schwere Klasse" and identifies the heavy vehicles in the range, were produced from the late 1980s by the famous German group. The SK series is a direct evolution of the previous Mercedes NG line, with improvements to the cab that make it more suitable for long distances. Comfort on board has also been improved through the adoption of new technical and electronic solutions. Compared to the previous series, the design has also been significantly improved to fit the aesthetic canons typical of the "automotive" industry of the time. It has been appreciated by the market for its reliability, robustness and operational flexibility in all types of use. Its longevity in the market is actually linked to good commercial success. The SK series was replaced from the end of the 90s by the first versions of the new Mercedes Actros.
