THERMOCUT 650 - Proxxon Hot Wire Cutting Collar - 27084
Allows for versatile cutting of polystyrene sheets. No "crumbs" like when cutting with a knife or saw.
For architects, designers, artists, prototyping, insulation and, not to be forgotten, classic model making (railway models, airplane models, boat models).
For cutting polystyrene, rigid foam, polyurethane, PU foam, and thermoplastic films. Adjustable cutting length from 400 to 650 mm. Cutting depth 200 mm. Select the cutting wire temperature according to the material using the convenient rotary knob; the device's electronics maintain a constant temperature during operation. A work surface with a clamp hole allows for stationary use. Also suitable for cutting standard polystyrene sheets (100 x 50 cm). In addition to the clamp, the device includes a 30 m spool of 0.2 mm diameter cutting wire.

Noticed :
Polystyrene is an inexpensive, very eco-friendly material compared to others, and can be easily cut with a hot wire. It is available in almost all DIY stores in standard-sized sheets of 50 x 100 cm and thicknesses ranging from 2 to 16 mm.
