Epoxy glue 30min 2x 100g Kavan - KAV56.9966

KAVAN KAV56.9966 30-minute epoxy glue is a transparent, two-component adhesive for construction, repair, and assembly work in RC modeling and scale models. It is supplied in two 100g bottles , containing the resin and hardener, to be mixed in a 1:1 ratio by volume or weight.

Epoxy glue combines a resin and a hardener: after mixing, it forms a rigid and resistant bond. Its working time is particularly advantageous for assemblies requiring precise positioning of parts, especially when building an RC airplane, a radio-controlled boat, a model, or a structural element made of composite materials.

After mixing, this KAVAN epoxy has a viscosity of 15,000 to 20,000 mPa·s and a working time of approximately 15 minutes at a temperature between 20°C and 25°C. Bonded parts can be handled after 25 to 35 minutes. Full strength is achieved after 4 to 6 hours, with complete curing in 24 hours.

The transparent formula offers high resistance to bonding, fuels, solvents, and vibrations. Once fully cured, the adhesive can be sanded and will not weaken over time. The stated shear strength is 18 to 24 N/mm², while the bonded joint withstands temperatures from -40°C to +120°C.

This epoxy glue is suitable for bonding many materials used in arts and crafts and model making:

• soft or hard wood, balsa, plywood and chipboard panels;
• fiberglass, glass fabrics, carbon fibers and laminates;
• aluminum, copper, steel and brass;
• hard plastics, expanded polystyrene, glass;
• ceramics, porcelain and concrete.

It is not suitable for soft or flexible plastics, particularly EPP and EPO, nor for polyethylene or Teflon. Excess uncured product can be removed with a cloth or paper towel dampened with denatured alcohol.

For safety, wear gloves and eye protection, avoid breathing vapors, and keep the product out of reach of children. Store tightly closed bottles in a cool, dry place protected from light, between 13°C and 25°C.
