Kavan polyester sticky heat shrink film.
Width 64cm.
Supplied in 2m rolls.
KAVAN iron-on film is made from an ultra-strong, thin, and lightweight polyester polymer coated with a high-quality pigment-based heat-sensitive adhesive. It is supplied in rolls 64 cm wide and 2 m long. The adhesive backing is protected by a transparent protective film.
KAVAN iron-on film is resistant to model fuels - incandescent, diesel and gasoline.
The film thickness is 50-65 µm (including glue) and the surface density is 63-70 g/m2 (in general, darker colours have a slightly lower grammage than lighter colours).
The film shrinks 5-10%; it is the same in all directions.
Conventional modeling soldering irons and hot air guns can be used. The operating temperature range is approximately 95 to 180 °C. The optimum temperature for attaching to the frame is approximately 95 to 100 °C, the shrinking temperature is approximately 130 to 140 °C, and the temperature for contouring curves is 140 to 160 °C.
