The Traxxas 2920 is a USB-C charger specifically designed for charging Traxxas iD 2S LiPo batteries. Compact and easy to integrate into an RC pilot's equipment, it allows you to charge a two-cell LiPo battery used on electric models compatible with this battery format.
A 2S LiPo battery consists of two cells. This type of battery is commonly used in radio-controlled modeling to power cars, trucks, boats, and other electric models. The charger is designed to charge only one Traxxas iD 2S LiPo pack at a time , with a charging current of 2A .
The Traxxas 2920 combines peak detection and cell balancing . Balancing is an essential function when charging a LiPo battery pack: it controls the charge of the two cells to maintain a consistent voltage level between them. The charger uses the Traxxas iD connector, which combines the necessary connections for charging and balancing into a single dedicated connector.
This charger operates using a USB-C power source . A USB-C power adapter or compatible power bank, along with a USB-C cable, is required for operation. The Traxxas 2912 45W USB-C power adapter and the Traxxas 2916 high-power USB-C cable are suitable accessories for this purpose.
The 2920 charger is designed exclusively for Traxxas iD 2S LiPo batteries. Non-Traxxas batteries, batteries with different connectors, and older Traxxas high-current connectors are not compatible with this charger. It is also not suitable for charging NiMH, NiCad, or 3S LiPo batteries.
As with all LiPo batteries, charging must be carried out on a non-flammable surface, in a ventilated area, and under supervision. The battery must be removed from the model before charging and visually inspected: a damaged, swollen, deformed pack, or one with damaged wires or connectors, must not be charged.
