Reassemble the model using the special key, turn the chimney on/off switch, and observe the fascinating movement of the locomotive's gears, wheels and connecting rods as it moves rapidly. The Poulard™ Express Ugears can travel 4 meters (with the tender and the wagon) or 6 meters (locomotive alone) on any flat and smooth surface.

This beautiful locomotive can be used alone or coupled to two wagons, a coal tender and a passenger car. The tender has an empty coal compartment in which you can store the winding key of the train or other small items.

The locomotive is the driving force of this model, with its metal spring motor and gears that transmit power to the moving wheels. The locomotive is reassembled using a special wrench (winding notches are located on the left and right sides of the engine), but first be sure to turn the chimney to the "Stop" position. Once the spring is wound, hold the model while turning the chimney in the "On" position, then release and watch the train start in a straight line. The model is classified as "Advanced" difficulty level and the assembly time is estimated at 7 hours. The locomotive can be assembled in about 3 hours, giving you a head start on your imagination games! This DIY wooden model making kit consists of 504 pre-laser cut parts from wooden boards. To assemble it, simply detach the parts from the boards and assemble them following the detailed and illustrated instructions available in 11 languages. One of the advantages of our models is that they do not require glue or special tools. Everything you need for mounting is included in the box.
