At the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, photographs and videos began circulating on the web of Ukrainian farmers towing Russian tanks, trucks, and personnel carriers with their tractors. Some of the armored vehicles had been destroyed or damaged by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but in other cases they had simply run out of gas or been abandoned by conscripts whose hearts were not in combat. Brave Ukrainian farmers, helping to defend their homeland, have taken fully operational high-quality military equipment from the Russian army to donate to their own armed forces. Images of this strange, brave and humorous harvest exploded on news sites around the world, becoming a meme and an enduring image of the war.

The model is a two-in-one: a solid spring-loaded wooden tractor, with a sleek design and mechanics by Ugears, and a foldable paper tank that can be towed behind the tractor with a tow rope. This beautiful and powerful tractor is the successor to our original, vintage tractor model and an accompanying piece, or "big brother" to our Brave UA Tractor mini-model from the "Age of Bravery" series, celebrating Ukrainian defenders throughout history and highlighting some of the most impactful episodes and stories of the current war.

The spring of the wooden tractor is reassembled with a key on the underside. A lever in the tractor cab serves as an on/off switch. When the lever is lowered, the force of the spring is transmitted to the rubberized wheels via the gear system, which includes a pendulum to regulate the speed. The rear wheels of the tractor have a freewheel clutch that allows for tighter turns. The hatch, doors and hood of the tractor can all be opened, while the steering angle of the wheels can be changed by turning them manually. Laser-engraved design features include cool markings on the sidewall of the tires and a trident on the tractor flag, a symbol of Ukraine's strength, freedom, and indomitable spirit, as seen on the Ukrainian coat of arms.

As for the cardboard tank, it folds and mounts quite easily, without glue. One of the advantages of the brittle material (a first in our collection) used for the tank is that you can drill holes or damage your tank as you see fit. You can also color your tractor and tank in the colors of your choice.

The Tractor Wins model kit includes 272 pieces, including wooden tractor parts, cardboard tank parts, and tow twine. Everything you need for assembly comes directly in the kit.
