The new C2 contractive suspension eliminates the need of the anti-roll bars, because it separates the phases of control of the compression and the extension of the spring, making it more independent to each wheel.
The extension is controlled by the use of a second spring, which is used as opposed to the main spring. Compression uses only the harshness of the mainspring, while the extension uses the sum of the hardness of the two springs.
In practical terms, this means that the car rolls on the bumps in a much more stable manner, increases the efficiency in cornering and braking. The system also provides better use of tires and better traction on uneven terrain.
Also lowers the center of gravity in the lateral and longitudinal acceleration.
