Product Details

A traditional trawler built by the ANCIENS CHANTIERS DUBIGEON (ACD) in Nantes, Le VOLONTAIRE (SM767) was launched in February 1950. He was armed by the ASSOCIATION OF MALOUINS CHALUTIERS, with the home port SAINT-MALO. MARIE JEANNE was its sister ship whose home port was CONCARNEAU. Very modern at the time, it was equipped with a BW diesel engine (Burmeister and Wain) of 1100 hp. Planned for construction to fish both edges, it was modified by removing port trawl gallows. Disarmed in the early 1970s, it was demolished in Bilbao (Spain) in March 1973.
