A deep-sea tugboat built at the Ateliers et Chantiers de France in Dunkirk for the Société de Remorquage et de Sauvetage du Nord, the JEAN BART was launched on 25 February 1956. Equipped with 2 Werkspoor diesel engines of 1250 HP each on the same line of trees, it was at the time among the largest deep-sea tugs in Europe. Decommissioned in Dunkirk in January 1965, she was sold in Holland in July of the same year, becoming Utrecht. In 1977 he began a third life in Greece under the name Kriti. In 1993 he moved to Honduras where he finished his career for good.
