Model Mercedes 190 E 2.3 16V in 1/24 scale of Italeri reference 3622.
Launched in 1982, the "190" marked a turning point in the production of the prestigious Stuttgart-based car manufacturer. An entry-level car from Mercedes, it nevertheless incorporated important stylistic and technical innovations. The design of great elegance will also later influence the cars of the upper segments of the brand. From a technical point of view, the car adopted a longitudinal front engine, rear-wheel drive and disc brakes on all four wheels. The front axle was of the MacPherson type and the rear suspension multi-link. The first versions produced were equipped with two 1,998 cm3 gasoline engines with carburetor or, in the 190E version, with injection. Soon after, the sports version 2.3 16V was presented, which was also used in monotype sports competitions such as the "Nurburgring Champions Race Cup" of 1984, in which famous drivers of the time and some "old glories" of Formula 1 participated.
