Model Ford Escort Zakspeed Gr.2 in 1/24 scale of Italeri reference 3664.
The Ford Escort Mk.2 marketed from 1975 marked an important evolution compared to the Escort Mk.1, presented at the 1968 Brussels Motor Show. It retained from the previous version the very reliable mechanics but its completely revised design met the aesthetic expectations of the 70s. In addition to the current versions, there was the Sport version characterized by a more aggressive look and a distinctly sporty interior. The RS 1800 version with a 115hp double camshaft engine formed the basis for the rally version, which achieved significant results. The iconic Team Zakspeed developed and operated a dedicated version of the Escort Mk 2 between 1977 and 1978.
