Model Tank Crusader Mk.III and Crew in scale 1/35 of Italeri reference 6592.
Designed at the beginning of the 2nd G.M., the Crusader was one of the most important British "Cruiser" tanks with more than 5,000 units produced. Equipped with a Christie suspension with large diameter wheels, the Crusader possessed was very maneuverable on rough terrain. Early versions of Mk.I and Mk. II were armed with a 2 pdr. gun, later replaced by the more powerful 6 pdr. on the Mk.III version. Its armor was not sufficient against enemy fire and it was also very vulnerable to mines, and its armament was often inadequate against similar German vehicles. However, when used in a coordinated manner, they were able to achieve some successes.
