Model Sd.Kfz.250/3 armored vehicle in 1/72 scale of Italeri reference 7034.
The Sd.Kfz.250 half-track was used extensively by German mechanized troops during World War II. Developed on the basis of the Sd.Kfz.10 artillery tractor, it allowed infantry to accompany the advance of armored units. The Sd.Kfz.250 was armed with one or two 7.92mm MG34 machine guns and could carry, with a good level of protection, a four-man infantry squad on the battlefield. The efficiency and reliability of the Sd.Kfz.250 led to the development of many variants, including the 250/3 Leichter Funkpanzerwagen (Light Armoured Radio Link Vehicle), which was used as the nerve centre for radio links between forward troops, artillery and aviation. The famous "Greif", a real command post in close contact with the front-line troops, was used by Erwin Rommel in North Africa.
