Fiat-131 Olio Fiat model in 1/24 scale from Italeri reference 3667.
The Fiat 131 Abarth was based on the standard two-door saloon. Its development involved many modifications such as the adoption of a lighter chassis, fender flares and air intakes on the bonnet and sides to optimize the cooling of the mechanics. The Fiat 131 Abarth used an in-line 4-cylinder engine with a light-alloy cylinder head and four valves per cylinder. Production began in 1976, with immediate participation in the World Rally Championship, where it won three constructors' titles, an FIA Drivers' Cup and a Drivers' Title. It competed internationally until 1982, when it was replaced by Lancia cars. Some of its liveries, associated with the sponsors of the time, have become emblematic in the history of "off-road" motor racing.
