1:35 scale Bedford QL model car from Italeri reference 241.
The Bedford QL range of military trucks was introduced in the late 1930s at the request of the British Army for a modern and versatile transport vehicle. Trials were completed in 1940 and it was in early 1941 that the Bedford QLs arrived in units. For the duration of the 2nd G.M., they were used on the various fronts and were an excellent logistical tool thanks to their four-wheel drive and their relatively low weight which increased its carrying capacity. Due to its flexibility and robustness, the QL was also used to tow and transport artillery pieces such as the 6 Pdr anti-tank gun or the 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft gun. Equipped with a 72hp 6-cylinder petrol engine, it is also characterized by its ease of maintenance and repair, an important element on the battlefields.
