The "Schwerer Panzerspähwagen" Sd.Kfz.234 armored vehicles were produced by the German war industry in the final phase of World War II. These remarkably designed machines combined mobility, operational flexibility and offensive capability. Benefiting from the operational experience acquired by the Wehrmacht during the first years of the conflict, they presented an excellent compromise between speed on all types of terrain, protection and firepower. They could reach a maximum speed of 85km/h on the road. Among the various versions produced, the Sd.Kfz.234/3 was armed with a 75mm KwK37 short-tube gun installed in an open-air combat compartment. This weapon was effective in support of infantry or to neutralize poorly protected targets and light armored vehicles.
