1:35 scale Char LVT-4 Water Buffalo model of Italeri reference 6752.

LVT (Landing Vehicle Tracked) tracked vehicles were developed during the 2nd World War to equip the U.S. Army and Marine Corps with a vehicle suitable for amphibious operations and offering a good level of protection. Often known as "Amtrac", they were widely used in the Pacific theater of operations, against Japanese forces, but also in the European theater. The LVT-4 was a marked improvement over previous versions. The engine had been moved to the centre of the vehicle, freeing up the rear with the adoption of a ramp allowing light vehicles or small-calibre artillery pieces to be quickly loaded and unloaded. It was the most successful version with the largest number of vehicles produced.
