The Porsche 962 was developed from the 956 for IMSA racing in the United States and in 1985 it evolved into the 962C, modified for the endurance races of the same year. The 962C was entered not only by the Porsche factory team, but also by private teams, such as the Swiss Brun Motorsport, one of whose cars sported the Jägermeister livery and won the World Sports Prototype Championship and races in the German national championship.
