Diorama Splendid Hotel

Painted and patinated, possibly supplemented with decorative elements, this accessory allows you to create, with minimal work, an ideal presentation scene for your models. You have the option of converting the front of the house into a "Splendid Hotel", overlooking the entrance hall. The first guests arrive in front of the hotel in their own car, a Citroën 5CV Trèfle. This vehicle was equipped with three seats and the arrangement of the occupants was reminiscent of a clover, hence its nickname. The body of the vehicle was made of wood, to which the preformed sheet metal was nailed. The pedals were made of aluminum and the floor of the passenger compartment was covered with a black floor mat. The Citroën had only one door on the right-hand side. The driver's seat was fixed, but the front passenger seat could be moved on rails. The waterproof hood rested on wooden uprights. The 850 cc engine could take the car up to 60 km/h. Other hotel guests were picked up at the station by the Citroën C4 "Splendid Hotel". This minibus, belonging to the hotel, made the round trip between the station and the hotel for guests and their luggage. Thanks to a completely new technology for the time and inspired by American construction techniques, the C.4s were extremely robust vehicles, both in terms of the engine and the bodywork. The useful fiscal horsepower of 9 hp increased to 10 hp, then remained unchanged for a long time before being reduced again to 9 hp. The variety of bodywork offered by CITROËN made it possible to meet all needs: saloons, 4 and 6 seaters, coupés, convertibles, roadsters, commercial roadsters, vans, minibuses/taxis, etc.
