Citroën van HY 1/24 Heller

It's a van capable of carrying 1200 kg of goods in a 7.3 m³ cargo space. It was designed by Pierre Franchiset, from whom it takes its name, the "H," as it was the eighth project of this type developed by Citroën, H being the eighth letter of the alphabet. Its design is basic, and it borrows many elements from other Citroën vehicles: the Traction Avant's engine and gearbox, and the 2CV's steering wheel, speedometer, and windshield wipers. It was presented to the public in 1947 and was offered with various engines (1600 cc, 1900 cc, 16 hp, 11 hp) during its long production run (34 years), during which more than 473,000 units were manufactured. Depending on the load and its bodywork, the commercial designation changed: H (1200 kg payload), HZ (850 kg - 1000 kg), HY (1500 kg then 1600 kg, 1966), HP (flatbed), HX (refrigerated flatbed) or HW (bodywork flatbed). The last example rolled off the assembly line in December 1981 (no. 473289).
