It was in the 1930s, after the discontinuation of Parisian and suburban tramways, that the first buses of the "TN" series were built. Advances in the automotive industry, particularly in tire technology, made it possible to design buses with fifty seats or more. The TN.6C's ease of use was legendary among drivers. The replacement of the "TN" buses began in 1960, and the last one was withdrawn from service in 1969, 38 years after the first models entered operation.
