The Yamaha XT is a benchmark for the production of motorcycles of the 1980s. The off-road and "enduro" has been produced in several versions with different frame configurations and different engines. One of the most famous versions was the XT 600 Teneré, equipped with the most powerful single-cylinder engine on the market. Its performance and reliability have contributed to impressive commercial success and a special version called "660" has been built to participate in off-road and endurance competitions such as the Paris-Dakar and the Pharaohs Rally. Equipped with a larger engine with a capacity of 634 cm3, it also had an improved "Ohlins" suspension, oil and air filters adapted to extreme weather conditions and a high-capacity fuel tank.
