It was in 1950 that the Boeing firm began the study of a four-engine of both civil and military vocation. On May 14, 1954, the 367-80 (Dash 80 - dash 80 - in English) left the Boeing factory in Renton, the first flight of which took place on July 15. Air France's Boeing 707s have been given castle names. They were normally planned to accommodate 134 passengers divided into two classes. The "Château de Vincennes" was the second of 29 ordered by the French national company.
