Magnificent Messerschmitt Me410A-1 Hornisse 1/72 scale aircraft from Italeri reference 074.
The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse was a versatile twin-engine, low-wing heavy fighter developed by the famous German aircraft manufacturer as an evolution of the Me210. It was supposed to replace the obsolete Bf110s in the Luftwaffe. Powered by two 1,750hp Daimler-Benz DB603s, it was powerfully armed with four 20mm Mauser cannons and 2 x 7.92mm machine guns installed in the nose. For its rear sector defense, it also had two MG 131 machine guns housed in remote-controlled rotating "barbettes" on the sides of the fuselage. The first versions of tactical support and bombing could carry an offensive load of more than 500kg in the internal hold or under the wings. After entering service in mid-1943, the Me-410 operated on various fronts, from Italy to the Balkans to the Eastern Front.
