Junkers Ju87G-1 Kanonenvogel 1/48 scale model aircraft from Italeri reference 2830.
The Ju87 Stuka dive bomber is undoubtedly one of the most famous aircraft of World War II. This aircraft, with its "seagull" wing, acquired great and appalling notoriety at the beginning of the conflict and is considered, along with the Panzer Divisions of the Wehrmacht, as a symbol of the Blitzkrieg. During the course of the war, new versions with different operational profiles were introduced. The Ju87G was a version intended for fighting enemy armor, especially on the Eastern Front after 1943. To this end, the famous Stuka pilot Hans Ulrich Rudel had suggested installing two 37mm Flak 18 cannons in nacelles hooked under the wings In this configuration, the Ju87G "Kanonenvogel" proved extremely effective in the hands of experienced pilots.
