The Lockheed® P-38® F/G Lightning® is undoubtedly a fighter of the 2nd G.M. unique in its kind due to its very original design. It is also one of the most frequently requested topics in Tamiya at 1/48. This is now done, after intensive research on preserved aircraft and a rigorous and inventive design of the kit to easily obtain the most faithful and detailed reproduction of this legendary fighter.
• 1/48 scale assembly kit. Finished model: length 240mm, wingspan: 330mm.
• Perfectly reproduced shapes and dimensions.
• The kit allows you to choose between the F and G versions.
• The model reproduces an aircraft on the ground (flight representation not possible originally).
• Accurate reproduction of every exterior detail, including engine covers, turbochargers and leading edge intercoolers
• Canopy can be presented open (fully or partially) or closed.
