Magnificent Mirage 2000 B/D aircraft in 1/72 scale from Italeri reference 90023.
The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French multirole fighter that entered service in the early 1980s. The initial single-seat versions, dedicated to fighter and air superiority missions, were joined by the two-seat trainer, the 2000B. Also a two-seater, the Mirage 2000D was developed for ground attack and low-altitude penetration. Entering service with the French Air Force, it retained the characteristic delta-wing aerodynamic structure of the Mirage 2000, carrying the pilot and the officer responsible for weapons systems management and target acquisition. Capable of performing a wide range of missions, it was used in various theaters of operation, such as Libya and Afghanistan. To this day, the Mirage 2000 D has undergone constant updates and modernizations of its avionics and electronics in order to extend its operational life.
