Eddie Rickenbacker's favorite fighter in 1:16 scale Model airplane by Model Airways (a division of Model Expo, Inc.) went to great lengths to recreate this legendary World War I fighter.

We designed our Nieuport 28 from original plans, photographs and restored aircraft exhibited in several museums. The historically accurate model reproduces virtually every detail of the actual aircraft.
The open structure allows you to see the authentic details and shows the subtleties of the construction.

The Model Airways kit of the Nieuport 28 contains more than 190 pieces of laser-cut linden plywood and birch for ribs, fuselage and other wooden components. Hundreds of pieces of finely cast tin, copper, aluminum, brass and rubber make up the dashboard, fuel tank, tensioners, ailerons, struts, stabilizers, machine guns, wheels, tires and more.

A perfectly detailed rotary engine - complete with cylinders, distributor, spark plugs and crankcase - is also to be assembled from tin castings.
Three sheets of plans and an explicitly illustrated step-by-step instruction manual will help novice and expert modelers make a museum-quality model.
