Magnificent Italeri 1/72 scale P-51A Mustang aircraft reference 1423.

The North American P-51 Mustang is undoubtedly one of the most famous aircraft in the history of military aviation. It is considered the best single-seat piston engine fighter of the 2nd G.M. One of the first versions made, the P-51A was used in combat as early as 1942. It used the new Allison V-1710 engine allowing it to reach a maximum speed of more than 650km/h, and was armed with four 12.7mm Browning machine guns installed in the wings that ensured good firepower. The already significant range of the aircraft could be increased with the adoption of two tanks under the wings. It was used by the U.S. Air Force and the British Royal Air Force, under the name Mustang Mk.II, immediately achieving excellent operational results in air defense, bomber escort and tactical support missions.
