Model F-16C Fighting Falcon scale 1/48 of Italeri reference 2825.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon produced by General Dynamics beginning in the late 1970s was initially developed as a single-seat air superiority fighter for the U.S. Air Force. It has subsequently gradually evolved into a multi-role combat aircraft with extraordinary operational flexibility. The F-16 is easily recognizable by the ventral air intake of its engine and its waterdrop canopy providing excellent visibility to the pilot. In addition, the F-16 has benefited from innovations such as a side fly-by-wire stick, fly-by-wire fly-by-wire controls and onboard avionics to facilitate piloting and combat. Appreciated by pilots for its high maneuverability and reliability, it is armed with a 20mm M61 Vulcan gun. Thanks to its many payload points, it can deploy a wide range of missiles and bombs. The F-16 has been and remains employed by many of the world's air forces and has carried out, often with great efficiency, a multitude of operational missions.
