1:48 scale Hurricane Mk. IIC model aircraft from Italeri reference 2828.
The Hawker Hurricane was the most widely used fighter by the British Royal Air Force at the start of World War II. It contributed significantly to the RAF's final victory in the Battle of Britain in 1940 and was gradually supplanted in its role as a fighter by the much more modern and capable Spitfire. However, the Hurricane continued to be used for ground attack and close support missions, notably in this version equipped with four 20mm cannons in place of the traditional 7.7mm machine guns. In addition, the Hurricane Mk.IIC was used effectively in the role of night fighter.
