1:48 scale Mirage III E model of Italeri reference 2816.
Produced from the early 1960s to equip Air Force units, the Dassault Mirage III proved to be an extremely effective aircraft. It quickly became a commercial success and was exported to many countries, participating in various conflicts in the 1970s and 1980s. Characterized by its delta wing, it was capable, thanks to its Snecma Atar engine with afterburner, of exceeding Mach 2. Following the Mirage IIIC interceptor, the versatile Mirage III E fighter/ground attack version was developed. It is characterized externally by an elongation of the fuselage in order to accommodate improved avionics.
