The Potez 540 is a French multi-seat combat aircraft from the interwar period, which symbolizes the French application of the theories of the famous Italian general Giulio Douhet. Used during the Spanish Civil War by an international squadron commanded by André Malraux, it was still in service at the beginning of the Second World War by the French Air Force as a reconnaissance aircraft.
