The first sketches of the VGD Project (Large Broadcast Car) date back to 1945. The DS 19 CITRO-N will be presented at the 42nd Paris Motor Show on October 6, 1955. New materials: plastic, lightweight alloys, and advanced techniques: hydropneumatic suspension for 4 independent wheels, are put at the service of a revolutionary aesthetic, which will divide France in two: the "for" and the "against".
