Land Rover 109 LWB 1/24 scale model of Italeri reference 3665.

The "Land Rover" is a milestone in the history of off-road vehicles. this vehicle was born immediately after the war, with the first prototypes made in 1947 to satisfy both civilian and military tasks. Inspired, even indirectly, by the American Jeep, it was characterized by a 4x4 all-wheel drive and a robust and reliable structure capable of facing the most difficult terrain. The aluminum body was lightweight and more resistant to corrosion. By 1971, when the Series III was introduced, more than one million units had already been produced and built for civil and military use, both in the 88-inch "standard wheelbase" version and in the 109-inch "long wheelbase" version, the latter reproduced in the kit.
