Mercedes Benz 500 SLC 1/24 scale model of Italeri reference 3633.
It was in the 1960s that Mercedes-Benz initiated the development of sports cars with high performance and refined finishes in order to target the then booming luxury segment. The acronym SL (Sport/Leicht - light) identifies the various models that have appeared and been marketed over the years. In the 1970s, the German manufacturer launched the R107 Roadster and C107 Coupé series, which quickly became a major commercial success. The "top-of-the-line" SLC 500 coupé was developed on the basis of the C107, and produced for almost ten years. With its 4,973cc engine developing 237hp, the Mercedes SLC 500 has become a reference on the "premium" market which, in the 1970s, saw the birth of emblematic models that still make many collectors and enthusiasts of historic cars dream today.
