Sherman tank M4A3E2 "Jumbo" in 1/35 scale of Tamiya brand reference 35139.
The M4 Sherman was the mainstay of Allied armored units throughout World War II and more than 50,000 were produced. Many variants were created to meet the specific requirements of the battlefield, among them the M4A3E2, known to infantrymen as the "Jumbo", which was produced in 1944 to meet the requirements of a heavily armored tank capable of providing close support to infantry. The armored protection on the front and sides of the hull has been increased to 101 mm and 76 mm respectively. The new cast-iron turret featured 152.4 mm side armor, a 178 mm thick mask, and was equipped with a 75 mm M3 gun. Its powertrain was a powerful Ford V8 engine with 500 hp. Production of the M4A3E2 began in May 1944, with 254 units delivered by July.
