Model of the 1/35 scale Chevrolet 15 CWT command car from Italeri reference 233.
During the 1930s, various agreements were negotiated for the production by the Canadian subsidiaries of the major American automobile manufacturers of a line of trucks to meet the transportation needs of British troops and the major Commonwealth countries. Production was amplified during the Second World War and the "Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) trucks" accompanied Commonwealth troops on the main European fronts, from North Africa, to Sicily and then during the Normandy landings. Robust, reliable and particularly efficient, they were produced in many configurations and with various roles, from military logistics to artillery pulling. The CWT 15 version, with all-wheel drive and good load capacity, was particularly popular.
