During the Second World War, the German army made extensive use of half-tracked vehicles. These machines could operate on all types of terrain and in all climatic conditions. In addition, they could be assigned to a multitude of missions by adapting various equipment or armaments. The Sd.Kfz. 10/4 received the 20mm FlaK 30 anti-aircraft gun installed on a reinforced platform. Its mission was to protect moving troops as well as convoys of tanks and vehicles from enemy air attacks at low altitude. This vehicle, which could carry up to 8 soldiers, was also used for infantry support, its 20mm gun being used against enemy fortifications.
