Immerse yourself in the world of railway modeling and relive the days of these wonderful locomotives thanks to our models in kit.
In 1829, the railway company operating the Liverpool-Manchester line convened a competition in Rainhill to select the best Locomotive for that line. George Stephenson won the contest with his Rocket against five competitors.
This Locomotive which weighs just 4,250 kg, is equipped with a multitubular boiler of great efficiency to transmit heat, which is 1.82 m wide and 1 m in diameter. The cylinders, arranged in an inclined position, operate pistons coupled with the 1.44 m diameter drive wheels to produce a speed of 49 km/h. The Rocket's features make it the first useful and convenient locomotive to transport passengers and goods. It thus ushered in a new era in the history of transport.
You will see that you will gradually be able to reproduce a model true to the original with all rail details machines.
