The CRX 18 is a 1/18th scale reproduction of the CRX: the iconic model of our brand.
The mini is designed as a 1/10th scale: metal beam chassis, central transmission box (positioned slightly forward) with a motor in a low position and 2 axles which are each connected to the chassis by 4 links.
The micro steering servo is a 3-wire model with a standard connector. To lower the center of gravity as much as possible, it is located on the front axle (AMS mounting). Power is provided by a 55T brushed micro motor.
In terms of electronics, the CRX18 is equipped with an all-in-one module (receiver – ESC) that has 9 connectors for a complete ignition system with turn signals and brake lights. The CRX comes standard with two LED headlights that can be controlled via the radio transmitter. Finally, the battery is a 2S 600mAh, allowing for several hours of runtime.
Aesthetically, the CRX18 is a faithful reproduction of its big brother. The axles have the same design as those on the CRX2. The bodywork features the same grille and accessories (jerrycan, snorkel, windshield wipers, and mirrors). Finally, the tires are exact replicas of the Climber tires. A nice little detail: the running boards have a slot into which the lower bodywork fits to prevent damage on obstacles.
Numerous options will be available to improve the performance or appearance of the CRX18: ball bearings, hydraulic shock absorbers…
The CRX18 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It handles small spaces and large areas with ease. Its off-road capabilities are impressive. Even on rocks, its lightness, balance, and efficient tires allow it to overcome incredible obstacles. The radio allows you to adjust the end-stops (throttle and steering). Throttle adjustment allows for fine-tuning your driving and adapting the CRX18's speed to the terrain and obstacles.
