RC Flying Wing FunJet ULTRA 2 Multiplex 1-03091 ELAPOR 783 mm

The FunJet ULTRA 2 Multiplex ref. 1-03091 is an electric flying wing kit with a pusher propeller, developed for speed flying. Made of ELAPOR®, it combines a compact 783 mm wingspan with an aerodynamic configuration designed for expert pilots. With the recommended 4S propulsion system, the advertised speed is approximately 220 km/h.

This ULTRA 2 version takes the FunJet concept and designs it for thrill-seekers. Its ELAPOR® structure is firmer than that of the standard FunJet 2, increasing the model's overall rigidity. Despite its speed focus, the flying wing maintains excellent slow-flight and precise landing qualities. It is launched manually.

A Delta-mix RC flying wing

The FunJet ULTRA 2 uses two control surfaces that combine aileron and elevator functions. This configuration requires a Delta mix in the transmitter. The pilot controls roll and pitch with the two servos mounted in the wings, while a third channel controls the motor. There is no rudder function.

The propulsion system is located at the rear of the model, in a configuration known as a pusher wing. This placement frees up the front of the flying wing and contributes to the FunJet's distinctive silhouette. A suitable brushless motor, speed controller, propeller, and battery are essential to complete the model and prepare it for flight.

Recommended propulsion for FunJet ULTRA 2

Multiplex offers the FunJet ULTRA 2 propulsion set, part number 1-00962. This set includes a ROXXY BL Outrunner C35-36-1960 kV motor (part number 1-00996), a ROXXY BL-Control 755 S-BEC controller (part number 1-01010), a 6 x 5.5 inch propeller (part number 733195), and a drive unit with a taper for a 4 mm shaft and an 8 mm propeller bore (part number 332329). The battery used with this configuration is a 4S 2600 mAh LiPo.

The recommended motor is designed for a 3S to 4S LiPo battery, with an optimal operating range of 40 to 52A and a maximum current of 55A for 15 seconds. With the 6 x 5.5-inch propeller and a 4S battery, the current draw is approximately 52A. The Vektor thrust system of the FunJet 2 is not compatible with the FunJet ULTRA 2.
